TEC 204: App development

Businesses want apps for bookings, orders and customers. One codebase for Android and iOS makes React Native a practical first skill.

What you'll learn

App development: the full skill set

Eight units, each practised on a real or demonstration brief.

React Native & Expo

One codebase for Android and iOS.

Navigation & screens

Tabs, stacks and app structure.

APIs & data

Connecting the app to a back-end.

Auth

Logins and user accounts.

Device features

Camera, location and notifications basics.

PWAs

Installable web apps that work offline.

Mobile UX

Touch targets, speed and simple flows.

Builds & testing

Running on real devices and sharing builds.

Learn in the morning, do it by evening

Two classes from 10:00, then four hours of supervised practice. App development is practised on real or demonstration briefs, never just read about.

FAQs

Questions about learning App development

Is app development in the 16-week programme?

No. The 16-week Technology programme builds web apps. Mobile apps with React Native are in the 30-week Advanced programme.

Can I join only for App development?

Not yet. App development is taught inside our full programmes (AI Technology Strategist Advanced), because it works best alongside the other skills a working team needs. You learn it on real briefs, reviewed by a mentor.

Is it online or offline?

Offline. Classes and supervised practice happen at our studio in Shakarpur, East Delhi, Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm, near Nirman Vihar and Laxmi Nagar metro.
