MKT 114: WordPress

Almost every small business needs a website it can edit itself. WordPress skills get you hired and win freelance clients quickly.

What you'll learn

WordPress: the full skill set

Eight units, each practised on a real or demonstration brief.

Hosting & setup

Domains, hosting, installing WordPress and keeping it safe.

Themes & Elementor

Designing pages visually, with a consistent brand.

Pages that convert

Home, service and landing pages with clear calls to action.

Forms & lead capture

Contact and lead forms connected to email, CRM or WhatsApp.

SEO plugins

Titles, sitemaps and schema with an SEO plugin.

Speed & security

Caching, image optimisation, backups and updates.

Blog & content

Publishing and organising content properly.

Client handover

Training a client to update their own site.

How you learn it

Learn in the morning, do it by evening

Two classes from 10:00, then four hours of supervised practice. WordPress is practised on real or demonstration briefs, never just read about.

  • You build a live WordPress site for a sample brand
  • A mentor reviews design, speed and SEO before it is shown
  • Advanced and Technology learners deliver a client-style build

    Concept class

    The idea behind each wordpress topic, tied to a business problem.

    13:00 – 15:00

    Supervised practice

    You do the work on tools, with a mentor in the room.

  3. 03
    15:00 – 16:00

    Mentor review

    Your work is marked on a rubric with written notes. You revise.

  4. 04
    Friday

    Present & add to portfolio

    Every Friday you present, and the final version joins your portfolio.

Questions about learning WordPress

Do I need coding for WordPress?

No. You build visually with themes and Elementor. Technology learners also learn when to customise with code.

Can I join only for WordPress?

Not yet. WordPress is taught inside our full programmes (AI Marketing Strategist or AI Technology Strategist), because it works best alongside the other skills a working team needs. You learn it on real briefs, reviewed by a mentor.

Is it online or offline?

Offline. Classes and supervised practice happen at our studio in Shakarpur, East Delhi, Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm, near Nirman Vihar and Laxmi Nagar metro.
